Draft for the pilot — BFI to review before public launch.

What we collect

Your name, email address, date of birth and state; your lesson progress, quiz answers and scores; and, for learners under 18, a parent or guardian's name and email.

Why we collect it

To run the course: save your progress, grade quizzes, issue and verify your certificate, and send you course emails. We use your date of birth only to check whether guardian consent is needed.

Sharing with BFI

If you choose “Share my progress with BFI”, the BFI coordinator can see your progress and is told when you finish. You can turn this off at any time in your profile. BFI administrators can always see the records needed to issue certificates.

Certificate verification

Anyone who has your certificate code can see your name, the course, the issue date and whether the certificate is valid. Nothing else is shown.

Children

Learners under 18 need verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before using the course, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by writing to the BFI contact below. Deleting your account also deletes your progress; issued certificates will no longer verify.

Contact

Bridge Federation of India — privacy contact to be confirmed by BFI before launch.
